Fitness Friday 4/5/13

I’ve skipped out on a few Fitness Fridays, but I wanted to get back into it!  I’ve had a good week fitness wise and recently joined Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp which I’m very excited about.  I started a couple days late so I’ve only done one of her strength workouts so far (before that I was doing my own).  I intend to do at least one more this weekend and some of her interval cardio workouts.  Part of her plan includes making other goals for yourself as well.  Mine are eating one salad per day and drinking 100 ounces of water a day.  So far I’ve completed this most days this week!!

Here’s what the last week has been like for me:

Friday 3/29/13:  Got to the gym at 5:30 and did 10 minutes of incline treadmill followed by a back lifting workout.  I’ve also started training my mom with weights three times a week so in helping her I’m doing a little more as well- this was one of those days.

Saturday 3/30/13: I worked all day and my shoulder was bothering me so I took the day off. 

Sunday 3/31/13: Easter- my shoulder was bothering me so much today that I didn’t do any type of exercise- plus since it was a holiday I didn’t feel so badly taking the day off.

Monday 4/1/13: Got to the gym after work with my mom.  I did 10 minutes of incline walking followed by my normal leg strengthening routine- it felt good!

Tuesday 4/2/13: Spent two hours raking leaves and picking them up in the yard- I considered this my workout for the day because I’m still sore from it!  I also did a lunch time walking workout. 

Wednesday 4/3/13: Walked with my mom during lunch time just to get some cardio in- it was a good walk.

Thursday 4/4/13: Did the first day of Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp!  I really enjoyed workout A.  I also did 10 minutes of warm up on the treadmill and assisted my mom in a workout.  At lunch time I wanted to get a little more of a workout in so we walked again- nice to get a little extra.

Since Easter, I’ve been eating a little bit healthier again, just trying to get myself back on track.  Only 43 days til Europe and I’m not where I want to be!  I love that this has been a huge lifestyle change for me and is not limited only to my trip- I know I will continue once I get back as well.  I love the feeling of lifting heavy weights and watching myself get stronger- I just wish I was shrinking a little bit faster, but I’m not giving up!!!
